If you’ve read the book “The Secret” or you have watched the documentary, then you know what the Law of Attraction (I will refer to it as LOA) is. The writers of “The Secret” claim that whatever you visualize clearly, consistently, and with strong emotions, will manifest in actual life. The book even offers an illustration of a man who visualized his dream residence everyday, right up until it manifested 5 many years later. The writers also claim that almost everything that occurs in a individual existence is the outcome of that persons thoughts.
So is there truly such a law? Or is it just a scam?
Nicely there are various opinions about this. New Age thinkers and other writers (who claim to be gurus) say that the LOA is definitely true and that it is doing work in everyone’s life. It might not be as straightforward as “Visualize and you will obtain”, but it does exist, according to them.
Another opinion produced largely by some psychologists is quite exciting. They say that you would you visualize something every day, your subconscious thoughts will automatically make you becoming to notice a lot more of the issue you visualized. This is scientifically correct. You will begin to discover what ever you have been visualizing and because you are noticing it, you may well be lead to feel that you have attracted it into your life.
The difficulty about LOA is that you can not prove it, nor disprove it. My belief is that our thoughts do have an effect on reality, but it is not as basic as 1+one=2 . I do think that there are unseen laws that govern the our lives, but they are not as easy as The Secret. I have noticed interviews with some of the figures in The Secret documentary and some of them could not solution the question ” Did the victims of 9/11 attract the event to their lives?” I have nevertheless to hear a convincing solution from them regarding this question or any query of this nature.
